Regent Park Community Health Centre Presents
A BRAND NEW EMPLOYMENT TRAINING AND PLACEMENT PROGRAM IN DOWNTOWN TORONTO
Accredited Skills Training
Jobs4U will provide assistance towards navigating the skills-trade or apprenticeship system. We will connect you with the right program, course or apprenticeship so that you can get the necessary training or coursework towards attaining your aspired career goals. Eligible skills program/courses will be able to receive up to $1,500 in tuition related coverage from Jobs4U.
Employment Skills and Training
Jobs4U provides up to 6 weeks of employment-related skills workshops for all participants. Topics include goal setting, jobs searching, application development, interview skills, and many other soft skills that you will need to be successful in the workforce. Participants will be provided a monetary subsidy for 30 hours per week, over 6 weeks.
Quality Employment Opportunity
Once participants complete either the accredited skills training and/or the employment skill workshops, they will be entering our Quality Employment Opportunity Program. Eligible participants will be placed at a paid employer for up to 8 weeks. This is a fantastic way to gain entry into the labour force, get paid, and develop your practical experience.
Wraparound Supports for Youth
We recognize the cost of living can prevent you from being fully engaged with the program. Jobs4U will assist you with partial subsidies towards your housing, transportation, food, clothing, and other life essentials. We want to help reduce barriers from accessing and utilizing our services.
If you have a dependent that requires child care arrangement while you are attending the Jobs4U program, we can offer partial subsidies to cover the costs of your daycare provider. We welcome eligible youth, adults, and parents to join our program.
Being successful on the jobs will require you to get the right tools, equipment, and clothing. Jobs4U will provide you with resources to get you started with these items. Every participant has a unique career goal and we want to support you to be ready every step of the way.
Jobs4U is committed to making sure that your health, such as oral hygiene, is well-maintained. If you are in need of urgent health care services, we will provide you with the right referral and subsidize the costs of selected services.
